What we publish

GERDMenu publishes general educational information about reflux, food-trigger considerations, and restaurant ordering. We do not provide diagnosis or individual treatment plans. We do not promise a cure or claim that a particular food prevents symptoms.

How we choose sources

We prefer primary and authoritative sources: government health agencies, peer-reviewed clinical guidelines, and professional medical organizations. We link original sources near the relevant content so readers can verify the basis of a claim.

Commercial listicles, social posts, and anonymous content are not used as medical evidence. See the current source library.

Review and authorship

Pages identify the GERDMenu editorial team and the date sources were last checked. “Sources reviewed” does not mean a physician medically reviewed the page. We will name a qualified reviewer only if that person actually reviewed the content and agreed to be identified.

Health guidance changes. We revisit important pages when major guidelines change and avoid silently presenting old content as current.

Corrections and conflicts

Material corrections should be made promptly and reflected in the page’s updated date. Product promotion never changes the health evidence or the wording of a safety warning.
